Head Coach, Pride 14U Abruscato

Coach G, a proud Long Island Pride alum, leads our talented 14U Abruscato team alongside assistant coach Alex Karavais, a former Pride teammate. As a player and now a coach, Giuliana embodies the values of dedication, hard work, and passion for the game, inspiring the next generation of athletes.

A standout player from Hauppauge High School in Smithtown, NY, Giuliana was a two-time Newsday Long Island All-Star and earned all-conference honors in both her sophomore and junior seasons. Her defensive skills earned her Hauppauge’s Defensive MVP award twice, reflecting her consistent and exceptional contributions to the team.

Giuliana began her collegiate career at Binghamton University in 2021, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and named to the Fall AD Honor Roll. After her freshman year, she transferred to the University of Connecticut (UConn) to continue her academic and athletic journey.

At UConn, Giuliana was a reliable and versatile player for the Huskies’ softball program. Over her collegiate career, she has played in 121 games, showcasing her defensive prowess with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Her dedication and consistent performance have made her a key asset to her team.

Now, as head coach of Prides 14U Abruscato team, Coach G channels her experience and knowledge into developing young players. Her journey from a Pride player to collegiate athlete and now coach exemplifies her commitment to giving back to the game she loves. Giuliana is passionate about teaching and mentoring, helping her players not only develop their softball skills but also build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the sport.

Coach Giuliana Abruscato is proud to be a part of the Long Island Pride Fastpitch organization and is dedicated to shaping the next generation of athletes both on and off the field.
